Beverly Foster, CAP & AYT
Beverly Foster is a board certified NAMA Ayurvedic Practitioner and 500-hour Ayurvedic Yoga Instructor. She holds a B.A. in religious studies from the College of Charleston with a focus on sacred text, including those held in the lineage of Ayurveda. Inspired by her mother’s wisdom in Ayurvedic principles, she was led to Albuquerque, NM to study with Dr. Vasant Lad.
Beverly is a faculty member of the Living Ayurveda Internship and the Bioregional Ayurveda Immersion Program where she teaches courses on Ayurveda, Ayurvedic Materia Medica, Herbal Preparations, Pranayama, and Jyotish (Vedic Astrology). Following her deep sense of belonging with plants as teachers, Beverly describes the journey of life as being supported by her relationship with herbs. She has over 10 years experience with herbal medicine including compounding and formulating traditional Ayurvedic Herbal Jams and managing an Apothecary for a local cancer clinic. Under the aegis of Dr. Vasant Lad, she worked directly with him and his herbal formulations, furthering her education with his lineage through direct experience in his personal practice. Beverly is here in the Ashland, OR area to offer the community her skills in supporting and re-balancing of one's inborn constitution. She meets her clients where they are, offering the tools to support balance to their physical, spiritual, and emotional fields. She offers guidance through a personalized protocol that includes pranayama, dietary guidance, and healthy lifestyle recommendations including rejuvenating and detoxifying techniques. With a passion for hiking, camping, fishing, and exploring the outdoors, Beverly is inspired by her surrounding environment and incorporates what she observes into her work. Her time organic farming complements her take on nutrition and diet and supports her in sharing that knowledge with others. |
