Beverly Foster, CAP
Beverly Foster is excited to be back in Ashland. She holds a B.A. in religious studies from the College of Charleston with a focus on sacred text, including those held in the lineage of Ayurveda. Inspired by her mother’s wisdom in Ayurvedic principles, she was led to Albuquerque, NM to study with Dr. Vasant Lad. Following her deep sense of belonging with plants as teachers, she describes the journey of life as being supported by her relationship with herbs. She has over 10 years experience with herbal medicine and, along with practicing Ayurveda, currently manages an Apothecary in Ashland, OR.
Certified as both an Ayurvedic Practitioner and 500-hour AyurYoga® Instructor, she is a board certified professional member of NAMA. Under the aegis of Dr. Vasant Lad, she worked directly with him and his herbal formulations, furthering her education with his lineage through direct experience in his personal practice. She was entrusted by Dr. Lad to work in his herbal pharmacopoeia and thereby has spent countless hours working under his guidance to help facilitate healing though ancient Ayurvedic knowledge. Beverly is here in Ashland to offer the community her skills in supporting the re-balancing of one’s inborn constitution. She meets her clients where they are; bringing balance to their physical, spiritual, and emotional fields. She offers guidance through a personalized protocol that includes pranayama, dietary guidance and healthy lifestyle recommendations including rejuvenating and detoxifying techniques. With a passion for hiking, camping, fishing, and exploring the outdoors, Beverly is inspired by her surrounding environment and incorporates what she sees in her work. Her time organic farming complements her take on nutrition and diet and supports her in sharing that knowledge with others. |
